A 19-year-old Macon man was killed and two others are hospitalized after being ejected from a car during a fiery crash on Ga. 42 in Monroe County early Saturday morning.
Devin-Michael Day was pronounced dead at a hospital after he and two others were ejected from a Jeep Wrangler before 3:45 a.m. Saturday, according to an email from Monroe County sheriff’s Sgt. Lawson Bittick.
Patrick Carter, 20, of Macon, and Tristan Anderson, 19, of Forsyth, were also in the car when it left the roadway while traveling north near Sidney Woods Drive, Bittick said.
The jeep was engulfed in flames and had overturned multiple times after it went into a culvert, Bittick said.
A Monroe County sheriff’s deputy discovered the accident and was able to pull two of the three people away from the fiery scene around the vehicle, Bittick said.
