There was a lot of talk about running back DeMarco Murray possibly returning to the Dallas Cowboys after last year’s disappointing season in Philadelphia.
Apparently, it was not just talk among Cowboys fans and Murray supporters, but amongst the Cowboys brass as well.
Ultimately, it didn’t happen. Murray was traded from Philadelphia to the Tennessee Titans on March 9.
But Coach Jason Garrett acknowledges the Cowboys discussed bringing back Murray, who set a team-record with a league-leading 1,845 yards rushing in 2014.
He fell out of favor in Philadelphia after rushing for just 702 yards, including just 3.6 yards per carry, last season.
